Fees and Charges April 2024
From 1 April 2024 under Section 32(10) of the London Local Authority Act 1990 (as amended) (hereinafter referred to as “The Act”) the Mayor and Burgesses of the London Borough of Camden (hereinafter referred to as “the Council” have determined fees and charges to street trading Licence holders under Section 32(1) and (2) of the Act- London Local Authorities Act 1990 (legislation.gov.uk).
Permanent licence fees – Daily charges

How we calculate the fees and charges
The market fees and charges have been calculated in accordance with the London Local Authorities Act 1990 (as amended) which means that the Council cannot use these fees to generate a profit and that it must set the fees based on the cost of providing the service.
How we spend the money we raise through fee and charges
The fees and charges go direct into the Council’s Market account, which the Council then tops up to cover the full cost of running the markets.
The biggest cost for this service is cleaning streets, collection, and removal and disposal of waste (particularly fruit and vegetables). Other costs include administering, managing, and maintaining street markets in the borough.
